South Bay Retina offers a variety of state of the art testing & imaging options including:

  • Electroretinography (Diopsys)
  • Visual Evoked Potential (Diopsys)
  • Fundus Photos (Optos)
  • Microperimetry (MAIA, CenterVue)
  • Fluorescein Angiogram (Optos)
  • Optical coherence tomographies (Zeiss):
    • Macula
    • Optic Nerve
    • Anterior Segment

South Bay Retina is equipped with the latest diagnostic tools to enable timely identification and diagnosis of retinal disease. We use electrophysiology testing, including electroretinography (ERG) and visual-evoked potential (VEP), to assess visual function and recognize early indication of retinopathy, and microperimetry (MP), to correlate macular and corresponding functional defects. To evaluate structural changes, we utilize optical coherence tomographies (OCT) of the macula, optic nerve, and anterior segment, fluorescein and ICG angiography, and ultra-widefield imaging. The combination of functional and structural diagnostics allows Dr. Narain to provide comprehensive evaluation and prognosis of ocular health and determine the best course of treatment.
