Meet Dr. Keshav Narain

Dr. Narain is a highly skilled vitreo-retinal specialist and surgeon with decades of experience treating complex retinal conditions. His journey in ophthalmology began with a medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine, where he pursued specialized externships in Inherited Retinal Disease at the Jules Stein Eye Institute (UCLA) under Dr. John Heckenlively, MD, and Ocular Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (Walter Reed Medical Center).

During his ophthalmology residency at New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Narain participated in the Orbis Mission to Calcutta, India, where he conducted eye screenings for Mother Teresa’s orphans and collaborated on pediatric surgical techniques. He later returned to the West Coast to complete a fellowship in vitreo-retinal disease and surgery at the University of California, Irvine, College of Medicine.

For over a decade, Dr. Narain honed his expertise at Kaiser Permanente (Bellflower, CA), the Orange County Public Health Department, and the Veteran Affairs Medical Center (Long Beach, CA). He also trained residents and physicians at UC Irvine in retina, cataract surgery, trauma, and comprehensive ophthalmology. Currently, he holds medical privileges at Good Samaritan Hospital, El Camino Surgery Center, and O’Connor Hospital.
