Why Some People See “Double Shadows” Instead of Double Vision
Have you ever noticed faint, drifting shadows — like cobwebs, threads, or tiny specks — in your vision, especially against bright skies or plain walls? You might think it’s double vision, but in most cases, these “double shadows” are actually floaters or subtle ghost images inside the eye.
Floaters are caused by tiny clumps or debris in the vitreous — the jelly-like substance filling your eye — casting shadows on the retina.
